Why is important to brush your hair?

Brushing remains an important part of grooming and hygiene. Brushing cleans the hair and scalp, removes old hair, dead skin cells, chemical products and other deposits. Regular brushing is a non-toxic approach to getting beautiful hair. In fact it is a form of dry shampooing!

Brushing stimulates the capillaries of the scalp, increasing blood circulation and the transport of oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles. This encourages hair growth, strengthens the roots and prevents hair loss. Brushing stimulates the sebaceous glands which produce sebum, a protective oil and natural conditioner. This action distributes sebum from the scalp and base of the hair along the shaft, making hair stronger, more resilient, sheen, smooth and manageable. Brushing makes hair shine by flattening the cuticles (the outer layer of the hair shaft), which makes the hairs more reflective. It is recommended to brush carefully and slowly with easy strokes 2-3 times a day, no matter the texture.
